GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class

GA is a class that specializes in the arts at Ayanoi High School. Kisaragi, Nodamiki, Kyoju, Tomokane and Namiko are a group of five friends who have colorful adventures and learn about art techniques.





Lol! I respect the fact that the anime was actually intellectual in the sense that it provided good art notes, facts, tips or what thingamabob you want to call it. Even though I made 3 attempts and still couldn't sit still through episode 6. And the reason I could manage episode 3 to 5 in the first place was because I actually enjoyed the first few seconds of the opening theme.


The part which I couldn't get out of my head. "Hitotsu Hitotsu Hitotsu x10". First 8 seconds of the song.

Basically, watching this reminded me of Maria+Holic, where comedy hits the wrong nerve and irritates instead of entertains. I felt the same thing in GA: Art Class. It was obvious that the anime was "trying too hard". Cranking out line after line after line of chatter. Unfortunately, none was funny to me.

Truth be told, I don't even think viewers my age is anywhere near GA's target audience. If indeed so, let's not even bother with this review. Lol!

Despite me slightly being a pro intellectual-anime (any anime which attempts to educate academically), I'll have to say GA is too boring to pass of as a comedy. Instead, schools could adopt the anime and use it to torture students in detention. Making them sleepy yet not allowing them any. Suffeeerrr!!!! Just as I did!!!
