Naruto Shippuuden

What is an anime blog without the current big three? Namely Naruto, Bleach and Soul Eater. Lol! So for today, I bring you the bigger of the threes. Naruto Shippuuden!

Let's be honest here, Naruto Shippuuden is a pretty average anime. Think about it for a second. Drawings are average, colorings are nothing outstanding. Sound and vocals are uninspiring. Do you dare disagree? (Feel free to post flames in comment below. Lol! Try to refrain from vulgar though. Thanks! :p)

In my opinion, the only reason why Naruto Shippuuden is still among the top animes around is due to it's large fan base from the original Naruto series.

No doubt loyal followers of the original Naruto series are gleaming with joy and satisfaction as the story is finally back on track with this new Shippuuden series. I have come across many many forums where viewers stopped Naruto due to the overwhelming amount of fillers. I remember skipping forward through all the fillers I've came across just hoping to see some Akatsuki, Orochimaru, or Sasuke action. But was let down constantly for 100 (One Freaking Hundred!) episodes. Some managed to start again from Shippuuden onwards, some did not. -_-"

However, the soundtrack seems to be a mixture of good and bad. Some nice songs does make you listen to the whole theme. While some makes you just want to skip it. Some of the songs does manage to enchance whatever the story is out to make you feel. So song selection wise will be a small plus from me.

Naruto Shippuuden follows up the story where Naruto series left off. Naruto is now grown up, still chasing after Sasuke, who left the village with the goal of obtaining greater power. The focus of the Shippuuden series seems to be on the Akatsuki organization. Having The Hidden Leaf Village (Konoha) constantly crossing paths with Akatsuki. Akatsuki is also on the move, hunting for Jinchuriki's around the world.

Don't understand what I'm talking about? Go grab the anime! Lol!

Rating: 4 out of 5 from me. Other than the story, everything else seems too average now. Naruto Shippuuden has failed to improve in terms of drawing, colouring, sound effects or any other aspect.
*Seeing how this anime had managed to pull an ex-naruto fan back into the series, I decided to up the ratings by a notch.

Fortunately (or rather unfortunately :p) I am still hooked on the story and will continue following the series. For now! :p Lol!
