Today was quite a relaxing day at work. Seeing there were not much work to do, I went fidgeting around with the acrylic pieces again and see if I could find any spares for my next display box. Unfortunately, me fidgeting about the acrylic area when there are no orders has caught my boss's attention. He asked why, I tell cause. ^^
Fortunately, after finding out what I wanted to do it. His reply, as he point towards a bunch of old display boxes stacked up full off dust, was I quote "Hey, why don't you use those instead? The customer probably doesn't want them anymore..."
In my mind: WwwWWwwWWwwEeEEEEEEeeeeEEeeeEEEEeeeEEERRRrooooOOOwwWWWWwwwwWWWWWRoXXXoorrss!!!!
Lol! Oh ya, he was speaking in my native tougue of course. I just translated it to english for Anime3r's readers.
Started humming Clannad theme's as I took the boxes down from the shelf and started washing them. Some were damaged. But nothing a little super glue won't fix. ;)
Only managed to clean 2 up before getting tired (and lazy). Lol!
Don't mind the turtles, Lol! It's a little going on with friends of mne.
This is just a quick display to see if which figure would go where. Have little ideas running around my head about doing a Rei, Asuka, Pocco fight scene (hence the same display). And the "God Knows..." scene for the Melancholic gang. If possible definitely want to do another scene for Miku (the original) but I think I'll stick to one thing at a time. Lol!

And now... Off I go, trying to marathon as much KuroKami as I can before I doze off for the night. Will take more pics as I begin unpacking and start posing my wai-fus, not including koizumi.. duh!

Love your display boxes, clear acrylic, never thought of it before... Less scary than a big old glass detolf. Would be horrible if I broke it...

ReplyDeleteIf you mean the thingie Miku and Alfonso (Patlabor) is standing on, it's a cardboard folded up.
Acrylic is still not ideal actually. Can't achieve the clarity of a freshly wiped glass. I almost bought a glass cabinet few weeks back. But not being able to shape them to the size I want made me think twice.
