Magister Negi Magi! Haru OVA

Sometime after all the events which took place during Negi's first year as a teacher, Class 2-A goes on a school trip to a beautiful island for Spring break. Everything is fine now, but troubles continue for Negi, because he's still the main atraction of the class. But he has something else to worry about, Asuna is angry at him because he told her she had nothing to do with his studies as a wizard. During the trip, the situation gets intense as Asuna's friends try to help Negi make up with her.

1 minute into this OVA, and I knew it was pretty much a sorry excuse for a fanservice episode. The thing about this OVA is there is no recap, no story telling, totally nothing whatsoever, instead what you see is what you get. Just an island filled with swimsuits covered students and their 10 year old teacher. What do you expect?! It's an 20 plus minute OVA. Lol!


I actually enjoyed the inclusion of all the 2-A students seeing how I'm a fan of the original series. The opening theme's animation was really an eye-opener. The animation was so insanely fluid and the colors was vivid. Mix all this with the amount of swimsuits and what do you get? Instant mood lifter.


Don't forget about the swimsuits. ^^ Well.. Especially the swimsuits! Lol!



Throughout this OVA, Asuna's hair was so fluidly animated it looked almost alive.
Sheer beauty.


They showed random photos of the 2-A students with their name, blood type, likes and dislikes. Which kinda worked in helping them attract viewers, more driven towards fanboys like me I guess. :p Aisaka Sayo FTW!




I really loved the animation effect of this scene.


Don't be surprised at the 2-stars rating I gave. As beautiful as the animation was or even if I loved the original series, the outcome was just that of another fanservice OVA. All it needed was just a tad bit less fanservice and a little more plot to spice up the story and it would have been an easy 4-stars. Even a short ending to the Chupacabra plot would have suffice. As it is now, it just feels too freaking shallow.
