In the name of a good and healthy lifestyle, the Ministry of Health and Well-Being has banned sweets, pastries and chocolate in favor of nutritious substitutes, fruits and vegetables. Life seemed to be spiraling down as people changed, not being able to experience the joy of eating chocolates. That is until 2 friends, Smudger and Huntly, discovers a group of chocolate lovers who has been producing chocolate in secret. How will they take hold and help bring joy? Watch and find out!

Consisting of 13 episodes with each going about 4 to 5 minutes long, there isn’t much to comment on this anime. Chocolate Underground is pretty averaged out. There isn’t any catchy graphics or visual effects. Story isn’t too captivating either. I guess the only point of watching this anime was that it provided a sort of entertainment which you knew won’t put too much stress or tension, like irritating and hateful villains which gets on your nerves. Sweet looking characters in this anime is a plus, relaxing viewers as they watched on. If this was a longer anime, it would probably get a 4-Stars rating. But being too shallow, it’s a 3-Stars at best.
